A new study by Deluxe Holiday Homes has ranked the world’s most social cities, evaluating factors such as safety, walkability, affordability, and the availability of social venues and events. Seoul, South Korea, claimed the top spot with a perfect score of 100, followed by Eindhoven, Netherlands, and The Hague, Netherlands.
Seoul stood out for its unmatched walkability, a vibrant event scene with 76 major gatherings, and 419 cinemas and theatres. Eindhoven secured second place with an impressive 7,180 events, despite lower restaurant density. The Hague followed closely, boasting a rich dining scene and strong entertainment options.
Other cities in the top 10 include Tokyo, which ranked fourth thanks to its 264 entertainment venues and affordable dining, and Gent, Belgium, which scored high in walkability. Madrid, Prague, Shenzhen, Chiang Mai, and Munich rounded out the list, each offering unique advantages in accessibility, cost, and social engagement.
A spokesperson from Deluxe Holiday Homes emphasized the significance of these rankings: “Social connectivity in a city isn’t just about the number of restaurants or events—it’s about how easily people can engage with them. High walkability, a strong cultural presence, and accessible dining options create an environment where social interactions happen naturally.
