Dr. Tangsuan’s Tragic Death at Disney: Husband Sues for Negligence

Dr. Tangsuan, a 42-year-old medical doctor from New York, tragically lost her life following a severe allergic reaction while visiting Disney World with her husband. The heartbreaking incident has led to a legal battle between Dr. Tangsuan’s husband, Jeffrey Piccolo, and Disney world.

She has had an allergy since she was a child, her father also confirms this in an interview, which led to her reason for becoming a Medical Doctor, so that she can be where she’ll be able to treat herself and help other people.

She was married to Jeffrey piccolo for over 6 years before at death, she visited the Disney world with her husband to tick off one of their bucket list as they were both travelers and they enjoy what they do. They also plan to drive round the country in their new RV, which she couldn’t make it.

Dr. Tangsuan suffered a fatal allergic reaction after consuming a meal at a Disney resort restaurant.  After she asked the staff at the restaurant if there were no nuts or dairy in what she was served and the staff confirmed to her that it was nuts and dairy free. She always carries an Epi-Pen on her just in case of emergency, however that didn’t work for her this time. After eating she was fine until She collapsed while walking around the resort following her meal of scallops, onion rings, broccoli and corn fritters at the restaurant.

Dr. Tangsuan was taken to the clinic immediately, she was administered an Epi-pen but it didn’t work and she did not survive. Her cause of death was severe anaphylaxis due to “elevated levels of dairy and nuts in her system,” according to the lawsuit.

In the aftermath of this devastating loss, Jeffrey Piccolo filed a lawsuit against Disney, alleging negligence. However, Disney responded with a surprising defense, claiming that Piccolo had agreed to arbitration through his Disney+ subscription. This legal maneuver aimed to divert the case from a traditional courtroom to a private arbitration process.

Piccolo’s legal team has vehemently contested Disney’s claim, arguing that there is no basis for linking a tragic death at a Disney resort to a streaming service subscription agreement. The legal battle is far from over, with the outcome holding significant implications for both parties.

A spokesperson for Disney told NBC News: We are deeply saddened by the family’s loss and understand their grief. Given that this restaurant is neither owned or operated by Disney, we are merely defending ourselves against the plaintiff’s attorney’s attempt to include us in their lawsuit against the restaurant.”

As the case unfolds, it raises broader questions about food allergies, emergency preparedness at theme parks, and the extent of corporate liability. The public is watching closely as this high-profile legal battle progresses.
