TGIF: 5 ways to vibe out the weekend

It’s finally Friday, fam! You know what that means – it’s time to put on your comfiest clothes, order some tasty takeout, and get ready to make the most of your precious free time. Whether you’re the life of the party or more of a homebody, Unspoken got you covered with some super chill ideas to help you unwind and recharge.

From indulging in a soothing self-care sesh to exploring new spots in your city, this list has something for everyone. So grab your besties, put on your favorite playlist, and get ready to make some epic memories this weekend. Trust us, your mind and body will thank you.

1. Treat Yo’self to a Spa Day
Stressed to the max? Girl, same. Carve out some “me time” and do a little self-care sesh. Light some candles, run a hot bubble bath, and maybe even throw on a hydrating face mask. You’ll feel refreshed and ready to take on the world (or your couch, no judgment). Go all out with a luxurious mani-pedi, or keep it simple with a DIY hair mask and foot scrub. Whatever you do, make sure to put your phone down and be present in the moment.

2. Host a Game Night
Gather your crew and get that healthy competition going. Bust out the board games, video games, or even some classic party games like Charades. Don’t forget the snacks and non-alcoholic drinks – you know how it is. Mix up some fun mocktails, set up a mini bar, or bake some sweet treats to fuel the fun. Friendly banter and lots of laughter are a must.

3. Explore a New Spot in Town
Time to be a tourist in your own city! Check out that new cafe, museum, or restaurant you’ve been meaning to visit. Grab a friend and make a whole day of it. You might discover a new fave spot. Start your adventure with brunch at that trendy breakfast joint, then wander through an art gallery or local boutique. End the day by catching the sunset at a rooftop bar or scenic overlook. 4. Binge that New Show Everyone’s Talking About
Is your “watch list” getting out of control? Carve out some serious couch time and get caught up on the latest must-see series (You can check some of these in our other issues). Snacks and comfy PJs are a must. Stock up on all your favorite treats, from sweet and salty popcorn to a big wrap of shawarma or a big box of Pizza. And don’t forget to stay hydrated with refreshing drinks.

5. Shake Up Your Workout Routine
We get it, working out can be a chore. But moving your body is so important for both your physical and mental health. This weekend, try a new fitness class or just go for an energizing walk outside. Check out that Pilates studio that just opened, or find a fun dance cardio class that gets your heart pumping.
