Entertainment Week Lagos: Exploring Nigeria’s biggest creative convention

Under the theme “Connecting Tides,” Entertainment Week Lagos (EWL) set the stage for a December that welcomed an unprecedented influx of tourists and international acts into Nigeria.

According to reports, Lagos welcomed approximately 1.2 million tourists, driving an impressive ₦111.5 billion in revenue across the tourism and entertainment sectors. Hotels accounted for ₦54 billion from 15,000 stays, while short-let apartments generated ₦21 billion from nearly 6,000 bookings.

EWL 2024 was a true cultural moment, boasting nearly 100 speakers, over 70 short films screened, high-value panel conversations, masterclasses, workshops, EMMY-nominated icons, and hybrid experiences that kept the creative ecosystem engaged from morning till midnight—both offline and online across the world.

With the EWL Opening Party setting the tone for a historic run, each night, the Livespot Entertarium evolved into an entirely new world.
