Nnenna Onyewuchi joins Gerety 2025 Middle East & Africa Executive Jury

Nnenna Onyewuchi has been named to the Gerety 2025 Middle East & Africa Executive Jury, joining a distinguished panel of industry leaders tasked with recognizing the most groundbreaking creative work in the region. The announcement coincides with the early bird entry deadline, which runs until Friday, March 7th.

The Gerety Awards will host in-person jury sessions across 15 global locations, bringing together top agency and brand executives to evaluate and celebrate outstanding creativity. Eligible entries must have been broadcast, published, or released in a commercial environment with client approval between January 1, 2024, and the final submission deadline. The judging process prioritizes originality in creative ideas and excellence in execution.

The Middle East & Africa jury will be led by Prerna Mehra, Executive Creative Director at MullenLowe MENA. She has worked with a diverse portfolio of global brands, including MTV, Coca-Cola, BAT, Motorola, Absolut, and Microsoft, as well as leading local brands such as Dangote, Zain, Robb, Joy, FCMB, and Peak Milk.

At McCann Erickson’s Tag Ideation practice in New York, she played a strategic leadership role, overseeing lifestyle brand strategy. She led cross-functional teams, managed a team of junior planners and account executives, and developed a proprietary branding model for integrated marketing campaigns. As Director of Business Development at TBWA Concept, she spearheaded new business development and client acquisition strategies, enhancing the agency’s industry profile and reputation through high-impact marketing and communication initiatives.

At HiTV, Onyewuchi was instrumental in defining the positioning and marketing strategy for the company’s entry into Nigeria’s pay-TV sector. She established strategic media relationships, developed trade materials, and supported the sales team with point-of-sale and merchandising resources. As a founding partner of Yellow Brick Road/Blackbox, she provided strategic oversight for agency accounts and new business activities, driving thought leadership, knowledge transfer, and high-level client relationship management.

She has also served as Chairman of the Board at WAVE (West Africa Vocational Education) and was previously the Executive Director of Strategy & Innovation at Yellow Brick Road/Blackbox, where she led transformational strategies to drive brand and business impact.
